The entrepreneurial “bug” was sparked in my heart as a child. When I was a little girl I watched my father work very hard as an entrepreneur, sometimes he failed and most times he succeeded, but he always made moments for his children. I was inspired by his determination and enthusiasm. His passion for business and people filled our home. My father made me realize that you can have a successful business by helping people get what they want instead of merely focusing on the bottom line. He helped me appreciate the value of adding to a person’s quality of life which is more fulfilling than anything money could bring. I have always carried those lessons with me. One day while I was in college, I went into the local mall bookstore and one of the cashiers introduced me to “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” by Robert Kiyosaki, which was a New York Times best seller. I was on track to graduate and become a high school English teacher, but after reading this eye opening book, the entrepreneurial fire within me was re-kindled and I began to question whether being a teacher was truly my life’s mission.
Over the years that followed, I pursued many different ventures including being an independent representative with accomplished direct selling companies like Mary Kay, ACN, and Primerica. I was gaining great experience but there was still a deep desire to personally create something trust worthy, meaningful and impactful for people’s lives.
In December 2007 my fiancé and I were living with my sister and her son in a 2 bedroom subsidized apartment after losing our home due to foreclosure. I knew life had more to offer me and that trails were temporary if you just focus and move forward. I had to do something! Initially I thought about starting a lingerie business but then a light bulb went off and I had a vision of women laughing and having a great time while being amazed at the wide variety of quality products I had to offer. I figured that the same women who would want lingerie would also be excited about seeing handbags, jewelry, cosmetics and pampering themselves with spa products. I thought “If other people could be successful, why not me?” The result was Lady Allure.
I wanted to create a place that empowered women from all walks of life, making them feel beautiful and harmonious, on the inside and outside. I have seen many women forget how precious they truly are. Their spirits vanish behind unhealthy relationships, thankless jobs and unfulfilled dreams. Other people’s priorities become their prisons. They mask themselves with smiles to conceal their sadness and continue to push through because that is what they are “supposed” to do.
Our mission at Lady Allure is to touch women’s hearts and provide them with an opportunity to create empowering choices. We want women to celebrate themselves. We help them build financial resources and freedom so they can focus on what is personally significant in their lives and have true happiness. Our company is driven by passion and directed by purpose to help women confidently embrace their beauty and relax their spirit so they can rise beyond their greatest expectations.
I invite you to a share this journey with me so we can build our dreams together.
